Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg is getting blasted over being on paternity leave during a clear Supply Chain Crisis.
Politico wrote “Where has he been? Turns out that he has been on paid paternity leave since the middle of August “to spend time with his husband, Chasten, and their two newborn babies.”
“For the first four weeks, he was mostly offline except for major agency decisions and matters that could not be delegated,” a Transportation Department spokesman confirmed to Politico “He has been ramping up activities since then.”

Biden was at the beach, Blinken was in the Hamptons, and Psaki was "out of the office" as Americans were trapped in Afghanistan. Buttigieg was MIA during a supply chain crisis.
None of us in the Trump administration would have been on vacation in moments of crises like these.

The thing about paternity leave is there isn't much for dad to do when the baby is a newborn, especially if mom is breastfeeding. His main role is to take care of mom as she recovers but of course that doesn't apply to Buttigieg so I'm not sure why he needs paternity leave at all
