Senator Ted Cruz has endorsed the GOP primary opponent of Liz Cheney, Harriet Hageman, who is also endorsed by former President Trump.
Cruz said in a statement he tweeted “Harriet will be a rock-ribbed conservative congresswoman who will always defend the Constitution.”
“She knows the importance of standing up for individual constitutional rights and fighting back against the federal government, which wants to seize more land and prevent people from being able to provide for their families,” he added.
I’m proud to endorse @HagemanforWY for Congress in Wyoming.

Hageman told Fox News she is “honored and grateful to have the strong support of such an inspirational constitutionalist senator as Ted Cruz.”
“In many ways, Texas and Wyoming face the same struggles against the relentless onslaught of the federal government, and it will be nice to know that I have another ally in the other chamber when I get to Congress,” she added.
I am grateful to have the endorsement of Senator Ted Cruz. Like Senator Cruz said, I will always defend our Constitution. As your Congresswoman, you can count on me to fight for the people of Wyoming and always stand up for our rights. pic.twitter.com/inThLAmY2w
