Alex Griswold tweeted “WaPo has the scoop that the Disinformation Board is getting shut down and, surprise, this is the framing”
“What’s crazy to me is how quickly “coordinated” is thrown around these days without so much an ounce of proof of *actual coordination*. Certainly not any proof in the piece,” he added.

Well the larger game being played here is that dogpiling someone on Twitter is fine and dandy but "coordinated" attacks are banned. So if you can get it in print that someone was the victim of a coordinated attack, you can pressure them to take action. https://t.co/yqJoAhAD5W

(Famously, this how the "learn to code" ban happened, obviously it cropped up organically, but someone somewhere found a 4chan post encouraging people to use it, and that's all it took.)

The story by Lorenz in the Washington Post isn't a "scoop". A scoop requires some work by a journalist to unearth a story.
This is a very carefully considered ad placement by Jankowicz. A true journalist would ask "why me" rather than printing/tweeting uncritically.
