REPORT: Controversy over Depp relationship may have led Amber Heard to lose out on $45-50M in potential projects

According to a new NY Post report “Kathryn Arnold, an entertainment industry consultant, told jurors that Amber Heard lost between $45 million and $50 million in potential work over Johnny Depp’s claims that she fabricated her abuse allegations.”

Per the report:

“Her worked stopped,” Arnold said, adding that rather than having negotiating power for the upcoming “Aquaman 2,” Heard was begging not to be cut out of the film.

Arnold compared Heard’s trajectory to other celebrities like Gal Gadot, Ana De Armas and Zendaya, saying her career would have mirrored theirs if not for her public battle with Depp.

Heard likely would have received four other endorsement deals worth $8 million, $20 million from various films projects, and millions from TV projects — had she not allegedly been defamed, Arnold claimed.

Heard is countersuing Depp for $100 million in defamation. She claims her career has been far more damaged than his from the fallout of their relationship.

“Aquaman” should have been Amber Heard’s “‘A Star Is Born’ moment” — but instead, the actress’s career is down in the dumps and she doesn’t even receive press requests, entertainment industry consultant Kathryn Arnold testified.

“It was that moment where not only was she a good actor, but she was now world-renowned because she was in the most successful film … for DC Comics,” Arnold said about the 2018 superhero film.

“It was just this extraordinary moment for her, for her career to take off.”
