Actor Jeffrey Wright compared today’s “Lobby day” pro gun rally to a “klan rally” despite the fact it’s a multi-racial in attendance.

Wright plays Bernard Lowe on “Westword” and starred in “Basquiat.”

One Twitter user replied “Yeah, it isn’t the protesters that have a “Klan-rally smell,” Jeffrey #Virginia2A’ and included a photo from Governor Northam’s yearbook that included a man in blackface and another dressed a an actual klansman.

Several reporters on social media have shared photos and videos of attendees of the lobby day rally of all races, countering Wright’s narrative of a “Klan rally.”
