WHO tweeted in January “no clear evidence of human-to-human transmission” for coronavirus

The WHO (World Health Organization) is facing accusations of spreading Chinese propaganda, based on their early reaction to the coronavirus pandemic.

The World Health Organization tweeted  January 14th:

Preliminary investigations conducted by the Chinese authorities have found no clear evidence of human-to-human transmission of the novel #coronavirus (2019-nCoV) identified in #Wuhan, #China

On January 19th, WHO tweeted:

An animal source seems the most likely primary source of this novel (2019-nCoV) outbreak, with some limited human-to-human transmission occurring between close contacts.

On January 30th, WHO claimed:

“To date, new #coronavirus (2019-nCoV) person-to-person transmission outside of #China has been limited.”

Here is some of the backlash on Twitter.
