“We won’t forget this” Kamala Harris issues statement minutes after Barrett confirmation

Moments ago, Judge Amy Coney Barrett was confirmed the the U.S. Senate by a 52-48 vote.

Minutes after her confirmation was official, Biden running mate Kamala Harris issued a statement and said “we don’t forget this.”

“Today Republicans denied the will of the American people by confirming a Supreme Court justice through an illegitimate process” Harris said.

“all in their effort to gut the Affordable Care Act and strip health care from millions with pre-existing conditions,” she continued.

Harris then vowed “we won’t forget this.”

Liz Wheeler fired back at Harris “The President has a constitutional right to nominate a SCOTUS justice. The Senate has a right to confirm the nominee. Nothing illegitimate about it. The American people voted for Trump & elected a GOP Senate. Stop pretending you’re a victim.”

Another Twitter user wrote in all caps “PACK THE COURT, MOMALA.”

Another Twitter user evoked Justice Ginsburg’s “dying wish.”

Moments ago, Harris added “My Senate Republican colleagues have just done great harm to the American people by confirming Judge Barrett to the United States Supreme Court. There is no question about that.”
