WATCH: Two Hollywood Actors Urge Americans to Honor US Troops for Memorial Day

While Hollywood isn’t traditionally known for supporting US troops, top-billed actors Chris Pratt and John Krasinski are breaking the mold, and encouraging Americans across the country to take the “Murph Challenge” in honor of fallen soldiers.

The challenge is named after Navy SEAL veteran and Medal of Honor recipient Michael Murphy, who was killed in the line of duty, and includes a brutal physical workout.

“Take a moment of your day, Monday, to say thank you to the brave men and women who laid down their lives for all of us,” said Krasinski in a video posted to social media.

“Thank you to Lt. Michael P. Murphy, and the millions of soldiers who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom,” said Pratt in a similar video. “We live this life because you laid down yours – gratitude and prayers for all of you.”

Commenters on social media praised the two for their efforts to honor the troops, and for bringing awareness to the sacrifice of US soldiers to Americans everywhere.
