Moments ago, President Trump commented on the Mueller testimony.
Trump stated he believes Mueller did a a “horrible job” but had “nothing to work with.”
Per Fox News, Trump called to “investigate the investigators,” reiterating his sentiments that Mueller’s Russia investigation that spanned over two years was a “ridiculous hoax” and a “witch hunt that’s been going on for a long time.”
In a fiery news conference, where the president pointed to multiple news agencies in the press pool calling them “fake news,” he said Democrats will “never give up” trying to indict him for crimes related to Russian meddling in the 2016 election.
Indeed, Rep. Al Green, D-Texas, who previously introduced articles of impeachment against Trump in the House of Representatives but to no avail, said Wednesday that he would continue to champion impeachment, saying, “We cannot allow the president to go unchecked.”
“The Democrats lost so big today,” Trump said outside the White House on Wednesday afternoon. “Their party is in shambles right now. They’ve got ‘the Squad’ leading their party. They are a mess,” he said adding that this was a “devastating day for the Democrats.”
In one of the most powerful moments of the day, Jim Jordan attacked the very basis of the Russia probe.
Many Democrats and liberal media pundits agreed that Mueller’s performance was poor.
A frail old man, unable to remember things, stumbling, refusing to answer basic questions…I said it in 2017 and Mueller confirmed it today — All you pundits and moderates and lame Dems who told the public to put their faith in the esteemed Robert Mueller — just STFU from now on

This is delicate to say, but Mueller, whom I deeply respect, has not publicly testified before Congress in at least six years. And he does not appear as sharp as he was then.

Chris Wallace of Fox News called the Mueller testimony a “disaster” for Democrats.
CHRIS WALLACE, FOX NEWS:
I had to laugh a little bit when you talked about the testimony by Robert Mueller because testimony has to be put in quotes. It really hasn’t been much testimony. Frankly, I think you both have been very kind. This has been a disaster for the Democrats and iI think it’s been a disaster for the reputation of Robert Mueller.
He has seemed very uncertain with his brief. He doesn’t know — seem to know things that are in the report. He has been attacked a number of times and you would think that almost anybody else would have defended his own integrity and the integrity of the investigation and over and over, Mueller just sits silent and allows the attacks from the Republicans to sweep over him and says nothing.
I think it does raise questions about the degree to which he actually was in charge and in control of this report because he doesn’t seem very much in control or charge of what the final report was. I shouldn’t say whether he was in charge of the investigation. He doesn’t seem in charge of what the report actually says.
