WATCH: Trump Presents Tiger Woods with Presidential Medal of Freedom

On Monday, President Trump awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom, America’s highest civilian honor, to golf legend Tiger Woods, at a ceremony in the White House Rose Garden.

“Your spectacular achievements on the golf course, your triumph over physical adversity, and your relentless will to win, win, win: these qualities embody the American spirit,” said Trump, who called Woods “a global symbol of American excellence, devotion and drive.”

“You’ve seen the good and bad, and the highs and the lows, and I would not be in this position without your help,” Woods replied, during an emotional presentation.

The 43-year-old Woods recently celebrated his fifth Masters Tournament victory, drawing praise from President Trump, who has frequently golfed with Woods recreationally.
