On Sunday, President Trump visited McLean Bible Church in Virginia, making an unscheduled stop after playing golf, where he met with Pastor David Platt.
In a statement, the White House said the president decided “to visit with the Pastor and pray for the victims and community of Virginia Beach.”

Pastor Platt urged his congregation to pray for Trump, “We want to do that continually, day in and day out, so I want to ask us to bow our heads together now, and pray for our president.”
