Asked about NBA players deciding to boycott playing over the shooting of Jacob Blake, President Trump bashed the organization.
“I don’t know much about the NBA protest. I know their ratings have been very bad because I think people are a little tired of the NBA, frankly, but I don’t know too much about the protest.” Trump said.
“I know their ratings have been very bad, and that’s unfortunate,” he added “They’ve become like a political organization, and that’s not a good thing. I don’t think that’s a good thing for sports or for the country.”

President Trump’s son in law Jared Kushner said “NBA players are very fortunate that they have the financial position where they’re able to take a night off from work without having to have the consequences to themselves financially.”
Meanwhile, Democrat politicians have heaped praise on the NBA.
Kamala Harris said the players had “monumental courage.”
former President Obama commended the NBA and WNBA are “setting and example.”
I commend the players on the @Bucks for standing up for what they believe in, coaches like @DocRivers, and the @NBA and @WNBA for setting an example. It’s going to take all our institutions to stand up for our values. pic.twitter.com/rUGETgAt7P
