While meeting with Poland’s President Andrzej Duda at the White House on Wednesday, President Trump touted the US-Polish relationship, announcing 1,000 more US soldiers will be stationed in the country as part of a “strategic partnership.”
“The Polish government will build these projects at no cost to the United States,” said Trump. “The Polish government will pay for this.”
President Duda touted plans for a “permanent American base in Poland, which we would call Fort Trump,” echoing sentiments other Polish leaders have espoused for months.

Trump supporters quickly took to social media to celebrate the suggestion, immediately pointing out that such a move would certainly cause an uproar among US liberals.
