WATCH: Reporter Yamiche Alcindor says she’ll ask tough questions but expects the Biden admin will be truthful

Appearing with Joy Reid on MSNBC, reporter Yamiche Alcindor, who had a contentious relationship with President Trump, made it clear she expects things to be different with Biden in the White House.

“This is a president, who has to be held accountable, but at least he’s not making up truth and alternative facts. That is behind us, we feel,” Alcindor said.

“We are in this situation where we are covering a White House that respects the idea of truth, that says, yes, we might have disagreements… but ultimately we see each other as human beings that we can talk to in a way that doesn’t feel aggressive, or targeting, or charged. I think it is a feeling that both reporters here feel a bit of relief, frankly,” she continued.

“We’re going to ask tough questions, I’m going to ask tough questions,” Alcindor added “But at least we’re in a situation where they’re saying we’re going to level with you. We’re not going to lie to you upfront …”
