White House press secretary Jen Psaki said Wednesday that President Biden’s tax plan applies to families making at least $400k as opposed to individuals.
Biden has given the impression on multiple interviews that tax increases would only happen to individuals making over $400k.
“Yes, anybody making more than $400,000 will see a small to a significant tax increase,” Biden told George Stephanopoulos just a day earlier.
“If you make less than $400,000, you won’t see one single penny in additional federal tax,” he claimed.
This is what Biden claimed in October 15th of last year.
He didn’t say “families.”
