Speaking to press, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki called former President Trump’s immigration policies “inhumane” and “ineffective.”
“We’re not looking to former President Donald Trump, or any of his advisers, as a model for how we’re approaching immigration,” Psaki said.
“In fact, we’re in the circumstance we’re in, because not only was their approach inhumane, it was ineffective,” she added.

During a heated exchange a day earlier, Peter Doocy grilled White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki on how what President Biden is doing with a facility for minors is any different than the “kids in cages” he denounced.
Psaki insisted ” This is not kids being kept in cages. This is…”
Doocy interrupted “But it’s the same facility.”
The Biden @WhiteHouse is housing undocumented noncitizen children in the same facility Democrats described as "kids in cages" during the Trump Administration.
