During a recent interview, Democrat congresswoman Ilhan Omar blamed the United States for the current conflict in Venezuela.
“A lot of the policies that we have put in place have kind of helped lead the devastation in Venezuela, and we’ve sort of set the stage for where we’re arriving today,” said Omar.
WOW: @IlhanMN says the U.S. has “helped lead the devastation in #Venezuela,” and accuses the U.S. on “bullying” the Maduro regime.

Omar continued, “This particular bullying, and the use of sanctions to eventually intervene and make regime change, really does not help” Venezuela, which she said is “not in the interest of the United States.”
Many on Twitter were not impressed with Omar’s statement.
Cameron Gray wrote sarcastically “Pretty great that your put her on the Foreign Affairs committee, @SpeakerPelosi”
