WATCH: Huge Virginia Pro-Gun Crowd Chants “USA! USA!” and “NORTHAM OUT!”

Social media users and reporters on-site are sharing powerful photos and video clips of the pro-gun “Lobby Day” rally taking place in Virginia.

Per KHOU, Thousands have swarmed to Richmond for Virginia’s “Lobby Day” gun rights rally, taking place in Capitol Square. Demonstrators are preparing for “Lobby Day,” which is set to start at 11 a.m.

Jan. 20 is traditionally known as “Lobby Day” in Richmond, but with Governor Ralph Northam and a Democratic majority set to roll out tighter gun-safety legislation, those in favor of gun rights are turning out around the Virginia Capitol to press their case against it.

Demonstrators have lined the perimeter of capitol grounds holding signs rallying against the legislation — many of which are armed.

Prior to the rally, Northam issued a State of Emergency, banning all weapons from the capitol grounds after receiving word of credible threats of violence. The weapons ban lasts until 5 p.m. Tuesday but doesn’t affect streets outside of the capitol grounds.

Michael Coudrey tweeted a video of the crowd chanting “Northam Out!”

Cam Edwards tweeted “The crowd is filling the capitol square now. Chants of “USA, USA” from various sections of the crowd”

Julio Rosas tweeted a video of  attendees chanting “USA!” and “Hey hey, ho ho, racist Ralph has got to go!” (the 2nd tweet down)

Rosas also mocked NBC reporter Ben Collins who falsely claimed the rally was a white nationalist rally before he deleted the tweet.

Per Michael Coudrey “Many law abiding citizens are excersizing their constitutional right to carry their firearms in Richmond Virginia.

Shannon Lilly writes “This group came all the way from New Jersey for this. They say it is more than just a gun rights rally for them, but a human rights rally. @CBS6

Per Julio Rosas “More signs in Richmond: “No Republican ever called me an incel” and “Armed minorities are harder to oppress.”

Per Rosas an African-American man waving a Trump flag jokingly tells the crowd: I am Gov. Ralph Northam and I am in blackface today.
