Appearing on Fox News with Chris Wallace, GOP Rep. Jim banks said he stands by his vote to object on January 6th.
Wallace asked about the backlash against Rep. Liz Cheney and effort to oust her from her leadership role. “Is it just because of the fact that she’s not as loyal to Donald Trump?” Wallace asked.
Banks responded “Republicans are almost completely unified in a single mission to oppose the radical, dangerous Biden agenda and win back the majority in the midterm election. That’s our focus as a House Republican conference. And any leader who’s not focused on that … needs to be replaced.”
Banks later added that he indeed views Biden as the legitimate President, but also said “I stand by my vote to object on January 6th, I stand by the Texas lawsuit, because I have serious concerns about how the election in November was carried out.”
