WATCH: Deadly Cartel Member Asks US for Asylum after Gang Shootout in Mexico

Earlier in the week, a massive gun battle in Agua Prieta, Mexico left over five people dead and several more wounded, including a member of the vicious Sinaloa drug cartel who is now seeking asylum in the United States.

The small town of Agua Prieta is just minutes from the Arizona-Mexico border, prompting the airlifting of three wounded in the shootout to the US for treatment.

Now, new reports claim other gang members turned themselves into US ports of authority to seek asylum, in fear of retribution following the deadly shootout.
