WATCH: Matthews Compares Bernie’s Nevada Victory to Nazis Taking Over France

MSNBC’s Chris Matthews is most definitely not a Bernie Sanders fan.

After earlier making the exaggerated statement that Sanders leading the DNC ticket would lead Democrats losing 49 states, Matthews has now upped the ante, comparing Bernie’s Nevada victory to the fall of France at the hands of Nazis.

Chris Matthews:

I was reading last night about the fall of France in the summer of 1940, and the general, Renault, calls up Churchill and says, ‘It’s over.’ And Churchill says ‘How can it be? You’ve got the greatest army in Europe. How can it be over?’ He said, ‘It’s over,’” Matthews said in history professor mode. “So I had that suppressed feeling, I can’t be as wild as [James] Carville, but he is damn smart, but I think he’s right on this one.

Justice Democrats shared a video of Matthews in hysterics, and added:

Chris Matthews just compared Bernie’s victory in Nevada to the Nazis taking control of France.

Incredibly offensive thing to say about someone from a family of holocaust survivors.
