Appearing on MSNBC, former Clinton adviser James Carville claimed that the people are turning against President Trump and in the long term Biden’s “then you ‘aint black” gaffe won’t mean “diddly squat.”
He is getting beat, and he is getting beat bad. He’s getting beat in the Fox poll, in the Quinnipiac poll, in the NBC poll and he’s going to lose bad.
The American people are turning on him by the day.
Joe Biden is fine. Joe Biden, I thought performed I thought superbly in a lot of the debates. And yeah, he says some things sometimes that come out the wrong way. Go look at Trump gaffes. Look at the things he’s said and the words that he has mispronounced.
I mean, this is just silly. We don’t need to follow this kind of silliness that he puts out. And the idea that he’s going to go play golf and that’s going to turn this election around for him, that’s about the only hope left is go play golf, man. At least you’re not talking to the public.
Carville on Biden’s “then you ain’t black gaffe”
Look, it was kind of a dumb thing to say and he said I’m sorry. I said it. This is him. The effects of this are through the weekend, all right? This is not going to mean diddly squat in the long-term. And Gene is right.
You’ve got one guy telling people to take Clorox and a drug that is ill-advised against. It is not an equivalency, but the Democrats we love to go, “Oh God, oh God, Biden is terrible. He messed up. What are we going to do?’”
So, he said something he shouldn’t have said. It happens all the time in politics. I mean, it’s hardly anything mean about it. It just kind of came out the wrong way. And I hope he doesn’t get so nervous that he doesn’t stay himself at some level.
I hope he doesn’t get too shaken by this. He apologized for it right away, which is the correct thing to do. But there’s no equivalency here. And you know, all this Democratic hand-wringing it is just silly. I mean, this is not going to amount to anything.
