WATCH: AOC says it’s “extremely difficult” to lose Dem colleagues who lost their House races

During a bizarre recent interview, progressive lawmaker Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez appeared to incorrectly suggest that Democrats lost their House Majority when she said “of course, the loss of the House majority is just extraordinarily upsetting to all of us.”

AOC then lamented the loss of some of her Democrat colleagues she works with that lost their House races.

“It’s also personally very difficult” AOC explained “because to lose these people, many of them are my colleagues and i’m proud to call them my friends and the idea that they may not be returning next term is very… or that they AREN’T returning next term is extremely difficult on both a personal and a policy and a political level.”

AOC tweeted specifically about one colleague that lost his race.

@MaxRose4NY has been a great colleague & friend, despite all our differences. He was relentlessly attacked for attending a community event after the murder of George Floyd. Max used his election night speech to bravely declare why it was the right thing to do.
