WATCH: Alec Baldwin says he feels no guilt over shooting, claims “Someone is responsible for what happened and I can’t say who that is, but I know it’s not me”

During his interview with George Stephanopoulos, actor Alec Baldwin was asked “Do you feel guily?” over the death of Halyna Hutchinson, that occurred on his movie set “Rust.”

“No,” Baldwin responded. “Someone is responsible for what happened and I can’t say who that is, but I know it’s not me.”

One Twitter user replied “He’s not taking responsibility for not triple checking the weapon-that was his responsibility.”

Another said “I was sympathetic to @AlecBaldwln____until I read that quote. How can he not feel any guilt? How can he not bear some responsibility? 1. Handguns do not spontaneously discharge. 2. Always treat a gun as if it is loaded; NEVER point a gun at anyone.”

Other reactions “I think guilt would a normal response even if he’s not responsible. It’s a bit off he doesn’t feel that way. But for legal reasons he needs to say that he’s not feeling ‘guilty’

“Effing sociopath”

“He is a producer of the film. To not express guilt means…he’s guilty. Pathetic.”
