Wasserman Schultz accused of shoving a teen volunteer for her primary rival

U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, former chair of the Democratic party has been accused of shoving Martina Velasquez, a 16 year old volunteer for her primary rival, Jen Perelman.

Velasquez is calling DWS a “monster.”

Attorney Jen Perelman tweeted:

@DWStweets⁩, I’m only going to say this once:

If you want to put your hands on anyone, try it with me.

Don’t you EVER touch my volunteers.

We’re winning this race on Tuesday.

For those who want context: Debbie physically shoved one of my volunteers handing out palm cards & then verbally accosted her for calling out her record on the environment.

This will NOT be tolerated.

Velasquez has released the following video on the incident.

Perelman shared it and wrote “This is my volunteer, Martina Velasquez, who was shoved & accosted. #DebbieMustGo”
