2020 Candidate Elizabeth Warren has called for ending the Electoral college election system.
My goal is to get elected—but I plan to be the last American president to be elected by the Electoral College. I want my second term to be elected by direct vote.

The reaction on Twitter was mixed.
Colin Moriarty responded:
You’re living in a dream world if you think the electoral college is going anywhere.
Regardless of whether you approve of it or not, you will never in a million years get state legislatures or federal legislators to vote in the numbers necessary to change it.
Literally never.

Another apparent supporter of Warren replied:
Amen.
One person, one vote.
Every vote should count–and count equally–regardless of who you are or where you happen to live.

Horrifying extremism.
It is reckless madness to uproot the EC without sober contemplation over why it was created as it was in the first place.
Eliminating it eliminates the legitimacy cultivated from a broad campaign over a diversity of geographies.
