Wednesday, Fox News’ Chris Wallace called Ambassador Taylor’s testimony “very damaging” to President Trump in a segment that was then shared by Nancy Pelosi.
Today Chris Wallace gushed over Anti-Trump witness Marie Yovanovitch, claiming if you weren’t moved by Yovanovitch’s testimony “you don’t have a pulse.”
Yovanovitch claimed Rudy Giuliani led a smear campaign against her, leading to her firing.
“This is a woman who had served in seven posts for presidents of both parties over more than 30 years, hardship posts, places like Somalia…She tells the story of being a leading fighter against corruption in Ukraine and being called out of a meeting, that was an event at the U.S. Embassy that was to honor an anti-corruption fighter who was later killed because acid was thrown in that woman’s face, and she’s being told by the secretary general at the State Department, you’re going to have to leave, and you’re going to have to leave on the next plane. We’re worried about your security.”
President Trump commented on the testimony of Marie Yovanovitch in real time, tweeting:
Everywhere Marie Yovanovitch went turned bad. She started off in Somalia, how did that go? Then fast forward to Ukraine, where the new Ukrainian President spoke unfavorably about her in my second phone call with him. It is a U.S. President’s absolute right to appoint ambassadors.
They call it “serving at the pleasure of the President.” The U.S. now has a very strong and powerful foreign policy, much different than proceeding administrations. It is called, quite simply, America First! With all of that, however, I have done FAR more for Ukraine than O.
Democrats now are arguing Trump’s live tweet are a potential article of impeachment.
Amb. Yovanovitch testifies about POTUS and his team smearing her.
During her testimony, Pres. Trump goes on twitter and attacks her.
Asked for her reaction in real time, the witness says she finds the attack intimidating.
A potential article of impeachment, right there.
