Video Resurfaces of Michelle Obama Heaping Praise on “Good Friend” Harvey Weinstein

A video has resurfaced of ex-First Lady Michelle Obama absolutely gushing over convicted rapist Harvey Weinstein, calling him “a good friend” and “a wonderful human being.”

Monday, per USAToday, Harvey Weinstein, the movie mogul whose sexual misconduct jump-started the #MeToo movement, was convicted of two sex crimes after a historic weeks-long trial featuring graphic testimony from six tearful accusers. Weinstein was found guilty of criminal sexual act in the first degree related to accuser Miriam “Mimi” Haleyi and rape in the third degree related to accuser Jessica Mann.

Weinstein was immediately handcuffed and taken into custody. His lawyers initially said he would be taken to an infirmary unit at Rikers Island, New York’s main jail complex in the East River, for medical supervision. But his ambulance was rerouted to Bellevue Hospital, rep Juda Engelmayer confirmed to USA TODAY.

His lawyer, Donna Rotunno, told USA TODAY it was for high blood pressure. “He’s fine,” she said. Engelmayer confirmed to USA TODAY Weinstein remained at Bellevue overnight and was still there as of early Tuesday morning.

Benny Johnson tweeted the clip and wrote:
