Ilhan Omar has been names “Antisemite of the year” by organization StopAntiseminism.org.
Per their website, StopAntisemitism.org is a part of a non-profit foundation that works to hold antisemites accountable and to create consequences for their bigoted actions by exposing the threat that they present to all Americans and showing how their ideologies conflict with American values, morals, and principles.
The organization released a video to explain why Ilhan Omar received the “honor.”
They also tweeted:
Mazal Tov to #IlhanOmar on being named 2019’s Antisemite of the Year! Thousands voted & the Freshmen Congresswoman came out on top as the most vile Jew hater!

Late December, in a move many conservatives considered hypocritical, Omar retweeted a claim from Rep. Eric Swalwell that Anti-Semitism is on the rise and it’s being stoked by President Trump.
Ironically, no current member of Congress has been more reprimanded for anti-semitic tweets than Ilhan Omar herself.
Omar was widely condemned by both parties after claiming “Israel has hypnotized the world” and asking Allah to “awaken the people to help them see the evil doings of Israel” a tweet she has since deleted.
