VIDEO: Kaepernick Ally Eric Reid Fears His Saturday Workout is “a PR Stunt”

Eric Reid, who knelt next to Colin Kaepernick during his stint at the San Francisco 49ers is skeptical of his “workout” this weekend and voiced concern it was a mere PR stunt for the NFL.

What concerned Reid most is that the workout was on a Saturday, the day before most NFL games when most NFL reps would be busy and not available. He also said Kaepernick shared the same concern.

“At this point, I’ll believe it when I see it,” Reid said “It feels like a PR stunt, again, with it being that it’s on a Saturday, what decision makers are going to be able to attend that workout?

“The other strange thing, I saw it was reported that teams were interested in Colin, but they reached out to the league about it. That’s strange, so we’ll see what happens.”

Asked if Kaepernick’s workout was “progress,” Reid replied:

“I’ll quote Malcolm X. If you stick a knife 9 inches in my back and pull it out 6, it’s not progress. It’s still a knife in my back. So we’ll see what happens.”

At least 5 NFL teams will send a representative to attend Colin Kaepernick’s Saturday workout.

The Miami Dolphins, Denver Broncos, Washington Redskins, Atlanta Falcons and Tampa Bay Buccaneers have indicated they will send a representative to the workout, according to multiple reports.

Details of the workout have been released.

Many others have speculated that the workout is a “PR stunt” but both Kaepernick’s team and the NFL insist it is not.
