VIDEO: Harris calls meeting with Blake family “incredible,” told Jacob she was proud of him

Biden running mate Kamala Harris called a meeting today with Jacob Blake’s family and him via phone “wonderful.”

Asked by reporters how the meeting went, Harris responded “I mean they’re an incredible family and what they’ve endured and they do it with such dignity and grace.”

She added “And you know, they’re carrying the weight of a lot of voices on their shoulders.”

According to Jacob Blake’s lawyer Ben Crump “in a moving moment, Jacob Jr. told Sen. Harris that he was proud of her, and the senator told Jacob that she was also proud of him and how he is working through his pain.”

When the incident occurred that resulted in Jacob Blake being shot, cops were trying to arrest him for alleged sexual assault.

According to USAToday “The charges — which have not gone to trial — stem from a May 3 incident in Kenosha County. A woman Blake knew told police he came into her house about 6 a.m., sexually assaulted her and then took a debit card and car keys before fleeing in her vehicle, according to a criminal complaint. Contrary to many social media claims, the woman involved in this case was an adult.

A warrant for Blake’s arrest was filed the day after the criminal complaint, online court records show.”
