VIDEO: Civilian Protesters Scatter as Iranian Armed Guards Open Fire

Videos on social media show civilian protesters in Iran being shot at by Iranian guard forces.

Per the NY Times on Sunday, the unrest spread outside Tehran, the capital, to at least a dozen cities. Security forces fired tear gas, rubber bullets and eventually live ammunition to disperse demonstrators in Tehran. By late Sunday night, several people had been wounded, witnesses said.

Unlike previous waves of opposition, some of the outrage this time has come from conservatives who ordinarily support the government, as well as from the usual critics.

Headlines in hard-line newspapers demanded resignations, and the commander-in-chief of the Revolutionary Guards, Gen. Hossein Salami, issued a very rare public apology. In a televised address, he all but begged Iranians to return to the nationalist zeal that only days earlier had seemed to fill the country, after General Suleimani’s killing.

Journalist Ahmad Babeti writes:

You may not know & can’t understand the conversation of the protesters. But by watching this video can easily understand the sense of these youth, who are trying to hide their self, when member points his war gun at them & shoots straight.

Lisa Daftari writes:

Warning- Graphic Video: Regime forces shoot at female protester in Tehran. Man who sent me this video was crying so hysterically, he could not speak.

Some of you may have seen in an action movie or read in a tragic novel that police points gun at a family and asking them, “Should I fire?”

But this video is not movie or a novel. Its realty of a nation, which are hostage of a demonic regime (Islamic Republic)

Videos shows protesters ripping down posters of Solemani.

President Trump warned the leaders of Iran Sunday:

To the leaders of Iran – DO NOT KILL YOUR PROTESTERS. Thousands have already been killed or imprisoned by you, and the World is watching. More importantly, the USA is watching. Turn your internet back on and let reporters roam free! Stop the killing of your great Iranian people!

Democrat House Speaker Nancy Pelosi appeared to be dismissive of the anti-regime protests in Iran, saying that there are “different reasons why people are in the street.”
