Reacting to the mass anti-semitic Chanukah stabbing, Governor Andrew Cuomo appeared to blame President Trump without naming him directly.
Cuomo ranted :
“This is an intolerant time in this country. We see anger, we see hatred exploding. It is an American cancer in the body politic.”

NY Mayor Bill de Blasio similarly attempted to connect President Trump with the deadly Hanukkah stabbing, claiming “For the last three years in this country the forces of hate have been unleashed, and we see more and more violence associated with those hateful impulses.”
de Blasio also alluded to Trump in a separate appearance on Fox News.

Reacting to the attack, President Trump tweeted:
The anti-Semitic attack in Monsey, New York, on the 7th night of Hanukkah last night is horrific. We must all come together to fight, confront, and eradicate the evil scourge of anti-Semitism. Melania and I wish the victims a quick and full recovery.
