Two Ohio legislators propose honoring Trump by making his birthday a state holiday

Two Republican Ohio legislators are proposing declaring June 14th, President Trump’s birthday, a state holiday to honor him.

In addition to being Trump’s birthday, June 14th is also “Flag Day” commemorating the adoption of the American Flag on June 14th 1777.

State Reps. Reggie Stoltzfus and Jon Cross, both Republicans released a memo with their proposal Friday and are seeking co-sponsors form their bill.

Their memo states Trump has “against great odds, accomplished many things that have led our nation to unparalleled prosperity.”

“Let’s show the 3,154,834 Ohio voters who cast their ballot to re-elect Donald J. Trump that we as a legislature recognize the accomplishments of his administration,” the request said.
