Twitter Won’t Allow Political Ads But Allows OJ Simpson to Gather Over 900k Followers

In a true indication we are living in strange times indeed, Twitter announced they will not allow political advertisements, but has allowed convicted felon O.J.Simpson to quickly gather a following of over 900k since joining the platform in June.

“We believe political message reach should be earned, not bought,” Twitter President Dorsey said when he announced the move.

“Twitter just walked away from hundreds of millions of dollars of potential revenue, a very dumb decision for their stockholders,” Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale responded. 

O.J.’s first tweet came in June with the eerie introduction “Hey Twitter world its yours truly. Coming soon to Twitter you’ll get to read all my thoughts and opinions on just about everything.”

The tweet has been liked over 108k times.

Since, OJ has used his Twitter account to debunk romantic and love child rumors.

Per Wikipedia, On February 5, 1997, a civil jury in Santa Monica, California unanimously found Simpson liable for the wrongful death of and battery against Goldman, and battery against Brown. Simpson was ordered to pay $33,500,000 in damages. In February 1999, an auction of Simpson’s Heisman Trophy and other belongings netted almost $500,000, which went to the Goldman family
