New York City Mayor and 2020 Democrat presidential hopeful Bill de Blasio is known for his unique ability to bring both the left and the right together to agree on the issue that he is generally detestable.
Now, de Blasio is apologizing for having “accidentally” quoted Communist revolutionary figure Che Guevara at a recent rally in Miami – a quote which infuriated many of the Cubans living in the area.
I did not know the phrase I used in Miami today was associated with Che Guevara & I did not mean to offend anyone who heard it that way. I certainly apologize for not understanding that history. (1/2)

However, social media commentary did not have mercy on de Blasio, and formed a throng of bipartisan voices which denounced the much-reviled NYC Mayor.
Man, if this ‘apology’ had been in Spanish, I could have completed my BINGO card.

You understand that your voter base thinks Che Guevara is awesome, right?

I like it better when I thought he had the guts to quote Che.

You should’ve broke into a few bars of “Livin’ La Vida Loca” instead. Everyone loves that song!
