Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez took to social media to harshly condemn President Trump’s daughter Ivanka on Sunday, in response to Ivanka’s appearance at the G-20 Summit.
“It may be shocking to some, but being someone’s daughter actually isn’t a career qualification,” said Ocasio-Cortez, suggesting Ivanka believed herself to be an official US diplomat.
The Congresswoman’s remarks were made regarding a video of Ivanka appearing to join in discussions with President Trump and several world leaders during the summit.
It may be shocking to some, but being someone’s daughter actually isn’t a career qualification.
It hurts our diplomatic standing when the President phones it in & the world moves on.
The US needs our President working the G20. Bringing a qualified diplomat couldn’t hurt either. https://t.co/KCZMXJ8FD9

However, Ocasio-Cortez quickly drew the ire of social media commenters, who overwhelmingly pointed to her own lack of qualification, which clearly didn’t hinder her election to Congress.
Your main qualification is hating America

Being the daughter of a billionaire and President of the United States is a hell of a lot better qualification than being a socialist bartender.

Oh yes a bartender has more talent then a girl that runs multiple companies

It may be shocking to some, but winning a Congressional election isn’t a guarantee that someone is qualified to be a member of Congress. Some really should stick to serving drinks.

It may be shocking to some, being a bartender does not qualify someone to be a representative.
AOC needs to learn budgeting and instead of asking for a raise spend less money
It is never a good idea to let someone who cant stretch 174k have a say in our countries budget

It may be shocking to you but Id wager she is far more qualified than you. It hurts out diplomatic standing when a moronic elected rep back home with zero knowledge of wtf is going on here much less at the meetings (other than an isolated clip) flaps her gums as usual.

She has done tremendous work for women all over the world. Maybe you could table your personal jealously for a minute.

But somehow serving beer is a qualification to have a career in politics.

He should have brought a bartender?
— AppSame (@AppSame) June 30, 2019
I’ll bet you that she understands what a tax credit is, can name the three branches of government and gets the importance of 25,000 jobs.
Which makes her more qualified than you (likely to do anything…)
