“This is out of control” Jim Jordan blasts Dems for proposing “gender-neutral” terms in Congress

Monday Morning, Rep. Jim Jordan who will be receiving a medal of freedom from President Trump blasted Democrats for proposing gender-neutral terms in Congress.

Jordan tweeted:

Democrats are banning “gendered” pronouns from House rules:

Banned words: “father, mother, son, daughter, brother, mother-in-law, daughter-in-law.”

Replacements: “parent, child, sibling, parent-in-law, sibling-in-law, child-in-law.”

This is out of control. Can we get an amen?

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi recently introduced a new set of rules to govern the 117th Congress which included gender neutral.

The proposed package would “honor all gender identities by changing pronouns and familial relationships in the House rules to be gender neutral.”

Jordan was also making reference to the widely mocked opening prayer by Democrat Emanuel Cleaver, who ended by saying “amen and a woman.”

Many Twitter users pointed out “amen” is not a gendered term and means “so be it” in Latin and brutally mocked Cleaver.

One Twitter user wrote “”Amen and a woman” is perhaps the greatest example of ignorance I have come across in a long time. “Amen” is a Hebrew word and the “men” in “Amen” has nothing to do with the English “men.” Ugh! Insulting to people of faith and shamefully ignorant!”
