Speculation grows Susan Rice could be Biden’s VP pick after Kamala Harris is listed as DNC Speaker and Rice is not

Speculation has grown that former Obama national security adviser Susan Rice could be Joe Biden’s pick for running mate after the DNC announced their list of DNC speakers that include Kamala Harris but not Rice.

The unnamed Vice President is slotted to speak Wednesday, Harris is slotted to speak Thursday.

Rice has now eclipsed Harris in the betting market of PredictIt as the favorite in the Biden veepstakes.

The DNC’s speaker list is as follows.

Monday: Bernie Sanders, Andrew Cuomo, Gretchen Whitmer, John Kasich, Amy Klobuchar, Michelle Obama

Tuesday: Chuck Schumer, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Bill Clinton, Jill Biden

Wednesday: Nancy Pelosi, Elizabeth Warren, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton

Thursday: Joe Biden, Tammy Duckworth, Kamala Harris, Gavin Newsom, Cory Booker

Could Kamala Harris still be the VP pick and simply be moved from Thursday to Wednesday? Anything is certainly possible, but the DNC speakers list has fueled speculation Susan Rice could be the pick.

No, the Democratic National Convention speaker schedule doesn’t give away who Biden’s VP is. Biden surely hasn’t told the convention schedule maker, of all people, who his top secret running mate is. The schedule will be adjusted once the pick is made and announced.
