Several Formula 1 Racers take a knee together, organization touts “One cause. One commitment”

Following NASCAR’s vocal support for social justice, the Formula 1 organization shared a video of several kneeling and tweeted:

End Racism. One cause. One commitment.

As individuals, we choose our own way to support the cause. As a group of drivers and a wider F1 family, we are united in its goal. #WeRaceAsOne

Several Twitter users then attacked those who chose NOT to kneel.

One Twitter user who clearly supported the protest wrote:

“All those standing should be ashamed of themselves”

Another wrote:

“Shame on those that didn’t kneel. I’ve lost a lot of respect for them today.”

Those who didn’t take the knee, regardless of their opinion…you looked the odd ones out and frankly I found it insulting. #BlackLivesMattter #EndRacism
