SCOTUS rules against PA GOP on extended period for ballots, Roberts sides with liberal justices

The Supreme Court of the United States has turned away an attempt from the Pennsylvania GOP to block an extended period for turning in ballots.

Notably, Chief Justice Roberts sided with the 3 liberal justices, resulting in a 4-4 tie.

Justices  Alito, Gorsuch, Kavanaugh and Thomas all sided with the Pennsylvania GOP.

With the passing of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, the court is not at full strength and decisions can end in a 4-4 tie.
