On Tuesday, White House press secretary Sarah Sanders took to social media to denounce federal District Judge Richard Seeborg’s recent ruling against the Trump administration’s policy of requiring asylum seekers to remain in Mexico.
Sanders admonished Seeborg as a “liberal activist judge,” and said it’s “sad that Mexico is now doing more to secure our border than Democrats.”
A liberal activist judge in San Francisco ruled the United States and Mexico can’t work together to address asylum issues at the border. It’s sad that Mexico is now doing more to secure our border than Democrats – President Trump will do whatever it takes to keep Americans safe.

Seeborg was appointed by Obama.
Seeborg’s injunction is set to go into effect April 12, forcing US officials to allow asylum seekers into the country as their cases are heard.
Critics of the idea have pointed to the fact that asylum seekers frequently “disappear” into the US, skipping their asylum hearings, to instead live as illegal migrants.
