Reporter who broke Bill Clinton-Loretta Lynch Tarmac Story Found Dead at Alabama residence

TV anchor Christopher Sign, the reporter who broke the bombshell story of the Bill Clinton and then Attorney General Loretta Lynch tarmac meeting in June of 2016 was found dead Saturday at an Alabama residence.

Sign was 45 years old. Hoover police Lieutenant Keith Czeskleba said the death is being investigated as a suicide.

At the time he broke the bombshell Bill Clinton-Lynch story, Sign was working at a ABC affiliate KNXV-TV in Phoenix.

The meeting was widely seen as inappropriate given that Hillary Clinton was under investigation at the time.

Sign later went on to write the book “Secret on the Tarmac” about the experience.

Sinclair Broadcast Group Vice President and General Manager Eric S. Land said “We have lost a revered colleague whose indelible imprint will serve forever as a hallmark of decency, honesty and journalist integrity. We can only hope to carry on Chris’s legacy. May his memory be for blessing.”
