REPORT: Iraqi Officials Say Soleimani Had to Be Identified By His Ring

According to a new report from Fox News, the body of Iranian military leader Qassem Soleimani was so decimated by U.S. airstrikes that he had to be identified by the ring he wore.

Sean Hannity responded to the news of Soleiamni’s death by saying “I will say the big headline is this is a huge victory for American intelligence, a huge victory for our military. A huge victory for the State Department and a huge victory and total leadership by the president. It is the opposite of what happened in Benghazi.”

Fox News report a top Iranian general killed by a U.S. airstrike at the Baghdad international airport early Friday had to be identified by the ring he wore, Iraqi officials said.

Following the attack, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said a “harsh retaliation is waiting” for the United States.

Khamenei declared three days of public mourning for Soleimani.

Suleimani was the head of Iran’s elite Quds Force, which has been designated by the U.S. as a terror group since 2007.

Six other officials, including Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the deputy commander of PMF were killed in the attack, Iraqi officials said.
