REPORT: Biden’s lawyers told Kamala’s niece Meena to stop profiting form her aunt’s name

According to a new report from the LA Times, President Biden’s lawyers told Kamala’s niece Meena to stop using her aunt to boost her brand.

Meena Harris sold clothes and books that used the name and face of her aunt, Vice President Kamala Harris. Biden transition lawyers reportedly told Harris she should stop profiting from her aunt’s name.

Per Business Insider “Meena Harris’ company, Phenomenal Woman, previously sold swimsuits inspired by the vice president and sweaters with “Vice President Aunty” emblazoned on the front.”

The report adds “after Biden and Kamala Harris won the 2020 election, the transition team’s ethics lawyers told Meena Harris she was no longer permitted to use her aunt’s likeness in relation to her books or clothing, a White House official told the Los Angeles Times.”

On Super Bowl Sunday, Meena Harris made waves on Twitter by tweeting “Team with racist name vs. Team with Trump supporting star player. Did I get that right?”

Harris continued in a follow-up tweet, writing “for the people telling me to lighten up, maybe I’ll consider it after the NFL denounces white supremacy and apologizes directly to Colin Kaepernick.”

She added “do not point me to that Goodell statement.”

In a separate tweet Harris blasts Tom Brady for not wearing a mask.
