Republican Lawmaker Liz Cheney, the #3 ranked Republicans in the House is facing calls to resign after being one of the 10 Republicans to vote with Democrats to impeach Trump.
Three members of the GOP party – Rep. Jim Jordan, Rep. Andy Biggs and Rep. Matt Rosendale have called for her to lose leadership duties or resign.
Cheney responded by saying:
“I’m not going anywhere,” she tells me in the Capitol. “This is a vote of conscience. It’s one where there are different views in our conference.” (1/2)
“But our nation is facing an unprecedented, since the civil war, constitutional crisis. That’s what we need to be focused on. That’s where our efforts and attention need to be.” (2/2)
