Rapinoe, all but one U.S. Women soccer players kneel during anthem before bronze medal match

According to a report from Insider, Megan Rapinoe along with all but one U.S. Women soccer players kneeled before their bronze medal match against Australia.

Carli Lloyd stood alone as her USWNT teammates all kneeled.

Per Insider “Lloyd has consistently found herself in the minority among the team on the issue of kneeling. US players knelt as the national anthem played ahead of various scrimmages in 2020 and earlier this year. But Lloyd never joined her teammates, opting to stand with her hand on her heart.”

The U.S. women did win the bronze medal, but were heavily favored to win gold.

Former President Trump issued a statement blasting the team, that was upset in the semi-finals.

Trump also blasted Megan Rapinoe specifically, writing “The woman with the purple hair played terribly”

“If our soccer team, headed by a radical group of Leftist Maniacs, wasn’t woke, they would have won the Gold…Woke means you lose…The woman with the purple hair played terribly and spends too much time thinking about Radical Left politics and not doing her job!”
