A new Harvard CAPS-Harris Poll poll finds Trump dominating a hypothetical 2024 Republican primary.
Per The Hill “Nearly 6 in 10 Republican voters surveyed — 58 percent — say they would vote to put the former president back on the ballot in 2024, suggesting the party is ready and willing to give Trump another chance after his 2020 loss to President Biden.
Former VP Pence came in at a distant second at 13%.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis came in at 9%.
Mark Penn, the co-director of the Harvard CAPS-Harris Poll survey, said “While defeated candidates rarely come back, Trump has a strong lead in the Republican primary especially among the most dedicated Republicans.”
