Pelosi introduces bill on 25th Amendment a day after accusing Trump of being in “an altered state”

Moments ago, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi introduced legislation to create a commission that would allow Congress to oust a president from office using the 25th amendment.

This comes a day after Pelosi accused President Trump of being in an “altered state.”

Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) the author of the bill, joined Pelosi and said “we need to act.”

“In times of chaos, we must hold fast to our Constitution,” Raskin declared. “The 25th amendment is all about the stability of the presidency and the continuity of the office.”

Earlier in the day, Steve Scalise blasted Pelosi over her over “misplaced priorities” and accused her of being fixated on “overturning” 2016 election results to remove President Trump.
