Pelosi staffer explains what happened after she got caught at a indoor hair salon in San Francisco

A spokesperson for Nancy Pelosi has issued a statement after the House Speaker got busted by a Fox News report getting her hair done at an indoor Salon that is not open for regular business during the pandemic.

The security footage shows Pelosi indoors with wet hair and no mask.

According to KTVU “In San Francisco, face coverings are mandatory in most public settings. Salons may only cut hair outdoors under new rules that took effect today.”

Drew Hammill, deputy chief of staff for Pelosi said “The Speaker always wears a mask and complies with local COVID requirements.”

He added “This business offered for the Speaker to come in on Monday and told her they were allowed by the city to have one customer at a time in the business. The Speaker complied with the rules as presented to her by this establishment.”

Salon owner Erica Kious said that Pelosi requested an appointment during a phone interview with Fox News. “One of the stylists who rents a chair from me contacted me Sunday night.”

“It was a slap in the face that she went in, you know, that she feels that she can just go and get her stuff done while no one else can go in, and I can’t work,” Kious added.

After her appointment, Pelosi appeared on MSNBC.

Twitter users were quick to blast Pelosi over the apparent hypocrisy.

Dinesh D’Souza wrote “Let me get this straight… @SpeakerPelosi wants business owners ARRESTED for operating against government orders, but will also force them to open for HER when she needs a blow-out?! The hubris on display here…”

Andrew Surabian wrote:

“Political hacks like Pelosi expect YOU to follow their rules, even if it means losing your job or your biz going bankrupt…And if you don’t like it, you’ll go to jail. But these hypocritical & power-hungry frauds never like following their own BS rules.”

Brit Hume “Rules for thee, but not for me. This is just classic Pelosi.”

“This is a slap in the face to everyday Americans.”
